Crypto signals the market already left

"Entry: 0.732", posted when the price is already at the target. Many crypto signals state an entry the market has already left. We tested what a follower who waits for that price gets.

What we tested

For 21 crypto channels and 13,885 signals, a follower places an order at the entry price the signal states, the minute after the post, and waits up to 72 hours for it to fill. We noted whether the price reached the first target before it ever came back to that entry. (One channel that posts far more signals than all the others together is left out, so it does not swamp the result.)

What happened

For 28% of the signals, the first target was hit before an order at the stated entry would have filled. The move the signal described happened without the follower in it. In 10 of the 21 channels, that was true for at least a quarter of their signals.

Those signals look like wins in the channel's own results, which count from the stated entry. A follower either missed them or chased them at a worse price.

What a follower can do

  • Compare the stated entry with the live price when the signal arrives. If the price is already most of the way to the first target, the trade on offer is not the one the channel will count.
  • Count, over a week, how many signals were already past their entry when posted.

Members see, for every channel, how many signals were already gone a minute after posting.
